AROBS in the GMU Incubator America Project
In his 2001 interview for the Business Review, Denny Robertson, the mission director to Romania of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) made reference the agency's commitment to helping Romania develop. Information Technology is the sector that will receive the most attention from USAID through some really exciting programs.
One of these aims at identifying innovative software companies in Romania and having them sent to the US to be part of a business incubator, thus extending their access to American markets.
"The first project, called GMU Incubator America, is to offer support for six Romanian IT companies: Insight Software, IT Systems. Softsourcing, Infopulse, Alfa-Global Solutions and AroBs Transilvania. The support offered means public and private partnership to assist these Romanian companies entering the American market, lowering customs duties and facilitating contracts with American companies. The two local partners for this project arc The National Association of IT (ANIS) and The Institute for IT (ITC)."
