Case study 1: Jidvei S.A.


Client Description: A highly renowned wine producer, Jidvei started earning international recognition as early as 1957, when it won the silver medal with its Pinot Gris wine at a contest held in Yugoslavia. The following years have brought Jidvei more fame and ever increasing sales figures.

The Problem: With Jidvei's steady growth, the need for an SFA solution became ever more stringent, as Cristian Fuga, Jidvei's marketing manager noticed. Jidvei currently numbers over 50 local and national distributors, which are using a wide array of accounting and ERP systems. As the requirements for unity and rapid implementation were paramount for Jidvei, its managers looked toward Optimall with great interest. Our solution won the battle with its competitors for the following reasons:

  • The excellent price/quality ratio
  • The lowest implementation time in the market, which can take as little as one week when interfacing Optimall with an ERP is required
  • Optimall's flexibility, which allows it to be interfaced with any accounting or ERP system from the Romanian market. The addition of modules can be made on an as needed basis
  • The completeness of the solution, which includes everything required to make it work (all the hardware and software components, as well as technical support)
  • The favorable contractual terms for technical support

The Solution: Since Jidvei's agents are not making direct sales, we suggested its managers to start by having only the pre-sales module implemented. According to our plans, implementation will be completed by the end of 2005, when Jidvei will be able to reap the full benefits of the new system

 

Case study 2: Top Market


Client Description: Founded in 1995, Top Market distributes beer (the Ursus brand) and convenience goods. It has branches in Cluj, Targu Mures, Bucharest and Baia Mare and relies on approximately 20 sales agents.

The Problem: over the years, our customer found it ever more difficult to cope with the marked increase in his business’ complexity.  The growth of the company only compounded this problem. Looking for a solution to the delays in delivery, low productivity of its agents and numerous entry errors, Top Market’s management approached us in 2003 in order to purchase Optimall, AROBS’ SFA application.

The Solution: Since our client is involved in van sales, we suggested him to implement both the pre-sales and van-sales modules of Optimall. In the fall of 2003, when the project started, Top Market was dealing in pre-sales (taking in orders). With its expansion to Maramures came the addition of van-sales activities, which made it clear that the Optimall van-sales module with printing functions became a necessity. Depending on the activities performed by each of our customer’s branches, we installed either the pre-sales module alone or both the pre-sales and van-sales modules. From an initial number of 6 PDA terminals, we reached a number of 20. The pre-sales modules were all implemented by the end of January of 2004, while the van-sales modules were functional by April 2004.

The result: The implementation of the Optimall system lead to a marked decrease in operating times and in the number of data entry errors during invoice generation. The application has also made all the activities related to invoicing and inventory management much easier. All in all, the customer is really happy with the solution and willing to expand it whenever necessary.
